“Wonder Woman” Returns To TV

Wonder Woman, the iconic comic book super heroine, is coming back to television.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Television is developing an updated version of “Wonder Woman” with producer David E. Kelley ("Ally McBeal," "The Practice") on board. Details of who would be cast in the new version were not mentioned.

The most famous version of “Wonder Woman” on television was the 1975-1979 series that starred Lynda Carter as the title character.

A big screen version of “Wonder Woman” has been in development hell for almost a decade, with actresses such as Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox considered wearing the starred tiara.

Joss Whedon, the driving force behind the TV version of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” was slated to write and direct the film version of "Wonder Woman"  when the news was announced in 2005. But according to Whedon, he never finished the draft, and then left the project in 2007.

The most recent news surrounding Wonder Woman, who was created in 1941, and part of DC Comics, was her wardrobe change, according to The New York Times.
