The last time Brad Womack made it to the final episode of "The Bachelor," he shocked the reality TV world by not making a choice, becoming the first contestant in the hit show's history to walk away from a shot at love.
Before making his profession of love to the 25-year-old single mom from Charlotte, N.C., though, he had to gently let down the other finalist, 28-year-old Seattle executive assistant Chantal O'Brien. She famously made an impression in her first meeting with Womack by slapping him across the face for declining to pick either Jenni Croft or DeAnna Pappas during his run on the show in 2007.
"I've fallen in love with someone else," he told her as the two stood under a South African sky.
After escorting the crying O'Brien to her limo, he then had the chance to explain to Maynard what she meant to him.
"You're the one, Em. You're my once in a lifetime," he said as he dropped to one knee. "Emily, please make me happier than I've ever been in my life and marry me," he uttered as she held his face in her hands.
"I would love to," she replied, before kissing him and having a new engagement ring placed on her finger. "You just made me the happiest girl in the world," she said.
