Jerry Springer has found yet another calling -- matchmaker.

The former mayor of Cincinatti, Broadway veteran and talk show host will host a new dating game series on the Game Show Network called "Baggage" beginning April 19, according to the Associated Press.

"I just keep finding jobs," Springer said.

Springer will give three contestants the chance at a perfect date, but only after they reveal their worst faults. The title of the show refers to suitcases, filled with contestants' dirty secrets, that they must defend to a prospective date.

The host of "The Jerry Springer Show" has mediated confrontations between adulterous transvestites and combative country folk that often ended in fist-fights and weave-ripping, but says "Baggage" will be "fun and lighthearted. There's no life-changing issues."

GSN has already lined up a shoplifter, a woman who relies on psychics and a control freak as its first contestants.

Springer, 66, is confident that he'll inspire honesty among contestants. "I'm like the crazy old uncle," he said. "People feel comfortable telling me their secrets." And he feels the same. "Being a host is what I'm comfortable doing. I've been doing it forever, joking around with guests, having fun."

"Baggage" will air at 6:30 p.m. EDT Monday through Friday on the Game Show Network.
