“Real Housewife” Bethenny Frankel Is Pregnant

NYC housewife reveals she's two months along

Bethenny Frankel, one of the stars on Bravo's guilty-pleasure hit "Real Housewives of New York City," is expecting her first child with soon-to-be husband Jason Hoppy, the reality star revealed Tuesday.

Frankel had initially hoped to keep mum about her pregnancy, but when rumors began to circulate online that the "housewife" was expecting, Frankel said she had to speak out to get the story straight.

"It's premature to be telling people this," a teary-eyed Frankel told People magazine.

"It's not like, 'did I get Botox?' It's not the way I wanted it to get out," Frankel said. "I haven't even gone through my first trimester. My [fiance's] parents didn't even know."

Frankel, an organic-foods chef who said earlier this month she wasn't leaving the Bravo program, got engaged to boyfriend Jason Hoppy in early October.

She and Hoppy are "both so excited," Frankel said about the birth, which she called a "miracle."

"I am praying everything is okay but I don't know that yet," she said.

Frankel, 38, said she was also surprised she got pregnant given her age. "I'm no spring chicken," she said. "I didn't think it was going to happen right away."

The couple will wed before Frankel gives birth, she said.
