JWOWW on “Jersey Shore” Cast Strike: “Untrue Rumor”

While it may be among the shortest strikes in television history, "Jersey Shore's" JWOWW says it never actually happened in the first place.

Via an interview with "Steppin' Out" magazine, the brunette bombshell said that she and her fellow cast members did not engage in a holdout with MTV over their contracts, deeming the earlier reports "untrue rumors."

"You have to laugh at crazy reports like that," she told the magazine. "Stories about strikes and things like that make us laugh."

The network released a statement on Wednesday after news broke that the entire cast had resigned for a third season.

"MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3. Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them.”

The cast was asking for $30,000 an episode, a significant increase from the $10,000 per episode salary they received for the second season. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the two sides came to an agreement near that higher figure.

The second season of the reality sensation starts to air July 29.
