Susan Boyle to Sing for Pope

Susan Boyle is set to fulfill her biggest dream yet – she’ll be singing for the pope.

The “Britain’s Got Talent” breakout star who went on to sell 701,000 copies of her debut album “I Dreamed a Dream” in the first week of its release will perform for Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to Scotland next month, according to reports.

"To be able to sing for the pope is a great honor and something I've always dreamed of -- it's indescribable," Boyle said in a statement, CNN reported.

The Scottish singer, who is also a Catholic, will reportedly perform the “Les Miserables” hit that made her a YouTube star around the globe last year.

She will also sing the hymn “How Great Thou Art” and join an 800-person choir for the Sept. 16 gig in Glasgow, according to CNN.

“I've always wanted to sing for His Holiness and I can't really put into words my happiness that this wish has come true at last,” Boyle said in her statement.
