Kanye West Sued for Assaulting Photog: Report

A Manhattan shutterbug says hit rapper Kanye West hit him.

Michael Vazquez is reportedly suing West, saying he was “assaulted, battered, beat and threatened” by the “Monster” musician and up to ten of his bodyguards at a 2008 event.

The paparazzo says he was bruised and suffered a dislocated shoulder, according to E! Online.

The beatdown allegedly took place at a New York show honoring the 25th anniversary of the Casio G-Shock wristwatch.

The New York Daily News cited court documents in reporting Vazquez was there to snap shots of the bash and shoot some video.

Amateur video of the event shows the fashion-forward star decked out in white pants, a white glove, and light-up sunglasses as he performed “Through the Wire” before legions of adoring fans.

For part of the performance, bikini-clad women in astronaut helmets kneel before the hip-hop king, appearing to worship him as he sings “Stronger” in front of flashing panels of white light. The video does not show the alleged assault.

West was reportedly paid $1 million for the appearance.

Vazquez is seeking unspecified damages for his injuries.

West has stayed mum on the allegations.

In 2008, West was accused of assaulting a paparazzo in an LAX altercation. A judge later dropped assault charges in return  for the rapper completing 50 hours of community service.
