Lady Gaga, an artist not known for drawing attention to herself, is going out of character by ramping up expectations for her forthcoming album.

"I promise to give you the greatest album of this decade, just for you," she said to fans during a concert in Gdsank, Poland, by way of readying her Little Monsters for the release of Born This Way, reports Billboard.

The new album, set to take over airways in 2011, is Gaga's follow up to the massive The Fame, which cemented her as perhaps the definitive pop star of her generation. At the concert, she further elaborated on what fans should expect.

"Not for nothing, the album's finished and it's f#$king really good," she said onstage. She said that the new record is "so much deeper than a wig or lipstick or an outfit or a f#$king meat dress...Born This Way is about what keeps us up at night and what makes us afraid."

The album features some high-profile collaborations, incorporating work from old friends - such as producer RedOne - and new ones, like rock icon Elton John.

And there may be an excess of what the outrageous performer called "f#@king sledge-hammering dance" music.

"It used to be kind of a faux pas to put out too much music on your album, but I feel like you guys deserve all of the records I do because I work hard on them," she said. "So who knows? You might get, like, 20 new Gaga songs."
