Jennifer Lawrence stars in the long-awaited adaptation of the series of novels set in a future dystopia where child are sent into battle against one another. Co-stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Wes Bentley, Toby Jones and Lenny Kravitz.
A 72-acre chunk of Panem’s District 12, the blighted mining area from “The Hunger Games,” is now on sale for $1.4 million.
The property in Hildebran, N.C., was put on the market by Wade Shepherd, 83, who's been bombarded with gawkers since the movie hit the big screen last month.
"I'm getting too many visitors ... Day and night, they're driving through, taking pictures, getting out and walking," he told The Associated Press.
The village is private property and the sheriff's department and private security guards are working to halt the flow of tourists vying fora glimpse of Katniss, Peeta and Gale's "Hunger Games" home.
While others, including the state's Division of Tourism, which has organized four-day fan tours, have seized the sudden publicity glut, Shepherd decided it would be more profitable to leave it all behind.
