Trustee Wants to Turn Prince's Paisley Park Into Tourist Attraction: Court Docs

The administrator appointed to oversee the estate wants to hire "entertainment" and "monetization" experts

Lawyers overseeing Prince's estate may open up Paisley Park, his Minnesota complex, for guided tours to the public, according to probate court filings, NBC News reported.

News of the plans surfaced in a court order issued by the judge overseeing the division of the late pop star's estate, estimated to be between $150 to $300 million.

Earlier this week, lawyers for Bremer Trust, the special administrator appointed to temporarily oversee the estate, sought permission from Carver County District Judge Kevin Eide to hire "entertainment" and "monetization" experts.

The entertainment experts would help convert some holdings into cash, according to the application. The monetization experts would give advice on how to develop Paisley Park into an enterprise that could include tours of the Chanhassen, Minnesota, compound.

Prince died in April from a fentanyl overdose. Police are investigating where he obtained the narcotics that killed him. No charges have been filed.
