Marriage Proposal Upstages Duo's Blind Audition on ‘The Voice'

There was a lot of love on “The Voice” Monday night.

Singing duo Jubal Lee Young and Amanda Preslar from Tulsa, Oklahoma took to the stage and sang "Seven Bridges Road" by The Eagles for the show's blind auditions, prompting coaches Pharrell and Gwen Stefani to push their buttons. But it was what happened after the two received feedback from the judges that overshadowed their performance on stage.

Young got down on one knee and proposed to Preslar, shocking the judges as the audience cheered.

The surprise proposal happened after Stefani asked how long the two performed together.

“Only 18 months,” Presler answered.

“Hey, are you guys a couple? Like, are you married?” Blake Shelton asked.

Preslar said they weren’t, but did say it would likely happen one day.

"Alright," Young said, pulling out a diamond engagement ring and getting down on one knee.

Preslar was in shock, and asked him if he was "serious." Young told her he was, and she accepted.

Coach Adam Levine told the couple they could get married on stage, since Shelton “is technically an ordained minister.”

"Let's enjoy this moment for a minute,” Young said.

The couple decided to choose Pharrell as their coach.
