Justin Timberlake's blockbuster year just got better. He graces the December cover of GQ magazine for their Men of the Year issue.
But he's not alone. Timberlake is accompanied by Matthew McConaughey, Will Ferrell, Kendrick Lamar and the late James Gandolfini, who will all get their own cover.
GQ dubbed Timberlake the "#Hashtag of the Year," a nod at the pop star-turned-actor's eventful 2013, a year when he was the "nonstop trending topic."
Timberlake reveals in the GQ interview what might arguably be the secret to his year of breakneck success.
“Being cool is about keeping your blood pressure steady. So no. Don't be cool. Be passionate. Be dedicated. Be tenacious. Be uncompromising. Be pissed. Be happy. Be sad," he told GQ. “I've made a career out of doing things that I should not be doing. I wasn't cool about it. Because being cool would have meant I passed up on those opportunities. If you do that, it's because you're afraid."
Some of Timberlake's highlights from 2013 include comeback concert on the eve of the Super Bowl with Jay Z, a five-night Timberweek run with Jimmy Fallon on "Late Night," the launch of two albums and reunion with N'Sync at the VMAs. He also hosted "SNL" for the fifth time, which got him an Emmy nomination, according to GQ.
GQ's Men of the Year issue hits newsstands on Nov. 19.
