Josh Brolin Hits “Gangster Squad” Premiere Solo Following Bust for Public Intoxication

Josh Brolin was back to looking happy and spiffy at the "Gangster Squad" premiere in Hollywood.

A week after getting busted for alleged public intoxication, the 44-year-old actor hit the red carpet as scheduled tonight--though without his most reliably glamorous accessory.

"My wife is home sick," he told E! News, explaining the absence of the lovely Diane Lane. But, let's hear it for bromance, Brolin didn't have to face the crowd all by himself.

He had an incredibly tan Sean Penn by his side!

"We cuddle up well together," Brolin quipped about his costar, who also went on record saying he and Brolin were each other's dates for the evening.

"He's great, we've been friends for a long time," he added of Penn, whom he also starred with in Milk, "so, you know, there's no weirdness anymore. We got through the romantic stage and we're just married--or, as if."

We'll assume Brolin means no weirdness, minus the shockingly rich hue of Penn's skin.

Ryan Gosling also bypassed the opportunity for romance and escorted his other best girl--his mom--to the premiere instead of girlfriend Eva Mendes.
