New Chrome Extension Blocks ‘Star Wars' Spoilers

Fans anxious to see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" can now guard against spoilers on the web until it's their turn to enjoy the latest installment of the intergalactic saga.

Force Block: the Star Wars spoiler blocker, a new extension for Google Chrome, is here to help fans stay away from plot-revealing details. It scans websites for "Star Wars" movie titles and the franchise's name and flashes a warning if it finds content that could be a potential spoiler.

Users can then choose to navigate away from the page or continue browsing the site.

Force Block isn't the first Internet filter of its kind. There are also extensions that will filter out mentions of Kim Kardashian, Donald Trump, Justin Bieber and 2016 campaign news all together.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" premiered in Los Angeles on Dec. 14 and hits theaters on Dec. 18.
