Christina Hendricks Talks Life After “Mad Men” in The Edit: “I've Requested Items From Joan's Apartment”

Christina Hendricks graces the cover of Net-a-Porter's The Edit this month, looking as close to perfect as humanly possible.

The 38-year-old "Mad Men" bombshell dons everything from Oscar de la Renta to Valentino for the high-fashion photo shoot, and she dished on what it feels like to say goodbye to her character Joan after all these years.

"I want Joan to do the Thelma and Louise thing," she said. "Just go out with a bang." She also plans on snagging a few mementos from the set. "I've put in a request for several items from her apartment that I would like to purchase," she said. "I'd like those reminders."

Christina also opened up about "Mad Men's" undeniable effect on fashion. The series has inspired runway shows from Louis Vuitton and Prada, and spawned a themed-collection for Banana Republic, just to rattle off a few influences.

"When the show came out, people were wearing jeans with their underwear out--maybe one of the worst crimes in fashion we've ever had," said Christina. "I think people were craving that tailored sense of style."

We'll be sad to say goodbye to Joan, but luckily Christina's not going anywhere. She's starring alongside Ryan Gosling in the upcoming film "How to Catch a Monster." As for her wardrobe? It's '80s-themed. So looks like Christina's fast-forwarding a couple decades. We have a feeling she'll still look stunning.
