Beyonce Performs, Wins Best Urban Contemporary Album at Grammys

Beyonce had the most nominations with nine but only took home one award

Since announcing her pregnancy on Instagram, Beyonce made quite the appearance and performed onstage at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, wearing a spiky golden crown.

Tina Knowles, Beyonce's mother, introduced her daughter, saying she believes Beyonce's success with her album "Lemonade" was a result of qualities the singer developed as a mother.

She appeared on stage standing sideways with her belly showing.

Beyonce began her performance with a Warsan Shire poem, an ode to women, mothers and children. She appeared in an ethereal gold and yellow gown, detailed with beads and glitter.

She opened her performance with "Love Drought" from her Grammy-nominated album "Lemonade." She also performed "Sand Castle" surrounded by a diverse group of women, all dressed in flowing gowns.

Chrissy Teigen, who attended the award show with her husband, John Legend, tweeted her reaction to Beyonce's performance.

Beyonce's husband, Jay Z, clapped enthusiastically after the performance as the couple's daughter, Blue Ivy, stood in front of him.

After her performance, Beyonce grabbed the Grammy for best urban contemporary album with "Lemonade."

"It's important to me to show images to my children that reflect their beauty," Beyonce said about her intentions behind the award-winning album.
