Are you following the Sochi Winter Games?

If not, don't worry. Britney Spears, John Mayer, Barack Obama and many other celebs have your back!

The stars have been hitting their social media accounts to give you a running commentary on everything from the entertaining opening ceremony to sportscaster Bob Costas' eye infection.

And the famous tweeters' play-by-plays don't stop there.

When they are not busy congratulating Team USA, they're giving special correspondent Johnny Weir's wardrobe the thumbs-up or snarking on the potty problems at the Olympic Village.

But it hasn't been all fun and Olympic games.

Some outspoken celebrities like Lance Bass chose to express their displeasure with Russia's recent passage of anti-gay laws by posting this colorful dig at Russian president, Vladimir Putin. He captioned the protesting pic which playfully shows Putin posing for the NOH8 campaign in favor of gay marriage, "This is great! #olympics #Putin."
