Will Simon Cowell Bring British Beauty Cheryl Cole To ‘X Factor' Judges Table?

Simon Cowell's "The X Factor" won't officially launch stateside until the fall of 2011, but the British music mogul is already reportedly recruiting judges.

There's already been talk of Paula Abdul possibly appearing on the show, but Simon might also be bringing over an import.

The Hollywood Reporter noted on Monday a longstanding rumor – that Simon is hoping to bring sometime girl band star Cheryl Cole, who judges on the British version of the show, to his American version.

Cheryl, a beautiful brunette 26-year-old was actually discovered on a British reality show – "Pop Stars: The Rivals," where she was put together with a group of girls to form the band Girls Aloud.

Her band shot to fame in the UK, a la the Spice Girls, and recently Cheryl launched a solo career in her native England.

Like Victoria Beckham, with whom she's friends, Cheryl is married to a British soccer star – Ashley Cole.

If Cheryl does decide to head stateside, she will come with some "X Factor" experience. More than just critiquing the contestants like they do on "Idol," the "X Factor" judges are paired up with several of the final contenders for mentoring purposes, something with which Cheryl has experience.

The only problem Americans may encounter with the brunette might be understanding her accent. She hails from Newcastle, in the North of England, a city known for its heavy British tone.
