Stars Tweet Over World Cup

The 2010 World Cup has begun – and stars have taken to Twitter to show their loyalties.

"Good luck to England in the match today. With football I get very one sided and I would be happy if England win every match forever," British comedian Eddie Izzard Tweeted.

"Let's go USA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Nick Jonas wrote, showing his excitement with exclamation marks.

Saturday morning's USA-England match ended in a 1-1 draw, but not before Jimmy Fallon and British golfer Ian Poulter made a bet over the outcome.

"If you lose your next match - you have to chug a Budweiser. I lose - I have chug a Stella (Carlsberg?) on my show," Jimmy Tweeted at the athlete, who agreed to the terms.

"Jimmy, you've got a deal, all on video," he Tweeted back.

Other stars were less interested in the results than the fans watching the game.

"Watching USA vs England. It's a good game but there's nearly not enough spectators blowing those awesome air horns," Joel McHale joked.

"In Malibu right now, the mood is ripe with soccer fever. Somebody actually asked 'Could you hurry with the whip on that frap?'" Josh Groban noted.

Although he's not on Twitter, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" star Robert Pattinson told Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson on Saturday he too was sucked into the international sporting event.

"I have to ask you, how are you doing this junket when England is playing USA?" Shaun asked Robert on Saturday as he promoted his upcoming film while the historic match up was taking place.

"Especially when they are drawing," Robert chimed in, referring to the score at the time, which was 1-1.

"And if at the end, if the end comes and they've won then that's the end of the junket," a worried Robert said over a possible U.S. victory, although the game eventually ended a short while later in a draw.

"Are you a big fan?" Shaun asked Robert regarding soccer.

"Yeah. Is it the end of the match yet?" Robert asked, looking around at the crew. "Have they already lost? I would be so depressed!"
