Something Strange In Your Neighborhood…

If you think Bill Murray's movie roles are the stuff of legend, consider the stories of what he does on his days off.

For years, tales of Murray sneaking up behind unsuspecting New Yorkers, covering their eyes with his hands, and asking "Guess Who?" have joined sewer gators and cab-sized rats as a homegrown urban legend.

Well, one New Yorker claims not only was his recent post-New Year's karaoke party crashed by the former Ghostbuster, but that he has photographic evidence. Posting on the web site The Chive, "Mike" (last name not given) explains how a random run-in with Murray at the downtown bar Karoake One 7 led to a night of singing, drinking, and general merriment.

"We tried not to make him feel uncomfortable though of course later we all joked about picking the Ghostbusters theme," says Mike in his post. "Amazingly, they stuck around the entire night, about 4 hours. As you can imagine it was all pretty surreal. Something I will never ever forget…Viva Bill Murray!"

The Chive has photos allegedly taken that night, many clearing showing Murray fully engaged in the sing-along - shades of his character's Tokyo adventures in "Lost in Translation." No word on whether or not Roxy Music's "More Than This" came up during the evening.

According to rumors, his old crew of Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ivan Reitman are anxiously awaiting Murray's OK before diving headlong into "Ghostbusters 3."  Hey, guys - consider adding a musical number.
