Sean Penn likes to occasionally take a break from movie-making to jump in the middle of a natural disaster -- who can forget his shotgun-toting adventures in New Orleans in the days after Hurricane Katrina -- but it looks like the austere actor may actually be doing some good down in Haiti.
Penn and daughter Dylan helped pull the woman and child out of a building that had collapsed, possibly from an aftershock, then loaded them into his pickup truck and drove them to the University of Miami's makeshift hospital near the Port-au-Prince airport.
The child, an orphan, was suffering from head injuries, and the woman had injuries to her legs.
Since neither had anywhere to stay, Penn waited for the UM doctors to get treatment then brought them back to his place in Haiti.
Penn, 49, helped start the Jenkins-Penn Haitian Relief Organization in the aftermath of the devastating quake, and spent three weeks in the country helping survivors.
