Russ Martin Pleads No Contest to Assault Charge

Ex-radio host will serve two years probation as part of plea agreement

Ex-radio host Russ Martin plead no contest to assault charges today as part of a plea agreement.

Martin will serve two years probation, be required to take battery counseling, pay a $1,000 fine, and have "no harmful or injurious content" with the victim.

Prosecutor Sean Colston told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram if Martin violates his parole, he could face one year in jail.

Martin formerly hosted "The Russ Martin Show" on 105.3 KLLI-FM before the station switched formats in December of 2008.
