Debbie Rowe will attend the hearing related to the guardianship of her children with Michael Jackson on July 20, according to a new report.

On Friday, a rep for the Los Angeles Superior Court released a statement noting that the temporary guardianship hearing related to Michael Jackson's children, had been postponed by a week to July 20, following a request from Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe.

But now, a close friend of Rowe's, Marc Schaffel, also a former business partner for Michael Jackson, said the pop star's ex-wife and mother of his two eldest children — Prince Michael I, 12; and Paris Michael Katherine; 11 — will appear at the hearing.

"[Debbie] says that she will definitely be at the custody hearing," Schaffel told People.

Michael Jackson said in his will that he wanted his mother, Katherine, to take care of his children, in the event of his death.

Diana Ross was specified as second in line if Katherine could not fulfill her duties.

Katherine Jackson has been looking after Michael's children with Debbie — Prince and Paris — and their younger brother, Prince Michael II, also known as Blanket; 7 — since the death of the pop star on June 25.

Blanket was born to a surrogate mother.

Rowe previously told KNBC 4 Los Angeles reporter Chuck Henry on July 2, that she would seek custody of her children.

"She told me, 'Yes I am stepping up, I have to. She will try for custody of her children," Henry said. "And she was still very much grieving this morning and has been, she says, for the last week over the death of Michael Jackson."

Additionally, Rowe told Henry that she plans to take action to keep Joe Jackson away from his grandchildren. She also said she would seek some kind of restraining order if that was necessary to keep Joe Jackson, Michael Jackson's father, away from the children, Henry recounted.

However, hours after Henry's report, a lawyer for Rowe said nothing had been decided.

Rowe's lawyer was not immediately available for comment on the latest report.
