Nicolas Cage Once Awoken By Naked Man Eating Fudgecicle

Nicolas Cage's latest film is about a home invasion. But his own personal story is quite the match for Hollywood writers.

While promoting his new movie with director Joel Schumacher, "Trespass," Nicolas Cage recalled a freaky incident in which a stranger trespassed into his own home, naked and eating a fudgecicle.

"It was two in the morning. I was living in Orange County at the time and was asleep with my wife. My two-year-old at the time was in another room. I opened my eyes and there was a naked man wearing my leather jacket eating a Fudgesicle in front of my bed," the actor told reporters, according to Reuters.

The on-screen action hero said he called police but was able to talk the man out of the house with "verbal judo." He decided against pressing charges because the man clearly mentally disabled.

"I got up out of the bed. I put my jeans on an I chased him into the bathroom," the actor said, according to USA Today. "I said, 'What are you doing in my house?' I decided somewhere to use verbal judo. I was very commanding with my voice and I got him to get out of my house."

The stranger did not steal anything, although Cage said "he robbed my fudgecicle."

"I know it sounds funny... but it was horrifying" the movie star recalled. He soon packed his bags because he could not stay in the house after that. Cage now resides in the Bahamas.

In "Trespass," Cage plays a man whose family is held for ransom by a band of thieves who break into their luxurious mansion. The film, slated for release in October, also stars Nicole Kidman.

The "Drive Angry 3D" star has two kids, according to People: Weston, now 21, and Kal-El, now 5, with different wives, according to IMDb. Cage did not indicate when his freaky anecdote took place or which of his sons were present.
