Svelt blood-sucking "Twilight" starlet Ashley Greene dished on how she shaped up for her new role: by not eating.

The petite brunette stunner said she trained for her role in the latest episode in the vamp saga that drew record box office returns during its opening weekend by abstaining from food and exercising, according to Usmagazine.com.

"It was really easy," she told Us. "We were working 12 hours a day, so it didn't leave too much time to eat."

The cheerleader-turned-actress said that when she did eat it was "really healthy stuff, which was nice."

"We had a personal trainer and then we also had fight training," she said. "It was a good four hours and a day of training."

The starlet, who has said her one weakness is Cheez-Its, said she tries to enjoy proper portions of food.

"I can't live life not enjoying food," she told People.com. "So my solution is to get baggies and zip locks and Tupperware and give myself only one portion to take with me during the day."

To stay in shape post-filming, Greene does Pilates about six days a week to stay in shape, she told Usmagazine.com.

"I do it early in the morning. It wakes you up, and it's kind of refreshing," she said. "And that is basically it. Sometimes cardio. I am not a big weight person because I when I do weights I build muscle mass."
