Taylor Swift to Launch Perfume Line

Justin Bieber isn't the only young music star expanding an empire by going into cosmetics.

While the young Canadian pop star is making a move into nail polish, country music darling Taylor Swift is teaming with Elizabeth Arden to release her own line of perfume and fragrance products, reports ABC.

Swift, 20, plans to be involved with all aspects of developing the product, from the packaging to the marketing. As of now, no name has been selected for the perfume.

"I have always loved how fragrance can shape a memory, the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts," she said in a statement.

Elizabeth Arden has worked on perfumes for other well-known stars like Britney Spears and Elizabeth Taylor. The company's executive vice-president, Ronald Rolleston, called Swift a "role model who inspires her fan base every day."

The announcement comes just a week after Swift's latest record, "Speak Now," came out to critical acclaim.
