Liam Neeson Walks First Red Carpet Since Wife's Death

Actor returns to the red carpet months after Natasha Richardson's death

Actor Liam Neeson made a return to the red carpet Tuesday night, just less than five months after his actress wife Natasha Richardson died from a freak skiing accident.

Neeson walked the carpet at a New York City screening of his new film, "Five Minutes of Heaven," strolling down the celebrity catwalk for the first time since Richardson's March death of head injuries sustained during a skiing lesson.

Reporters on the red carpet were told that personal questions were off-limits to Neeson, who has two children with the late Richardson.

Neeson, 57, plays an ex-Irish paramilitary officer haunted by visions in the film, which will open for the public Aug. 21.

He and Richardson, 45, met in 1993 while starring in a Broadway production and lived most of their life in New York City. They were married in 1994.
