Michaele Salahi is engaged, reports the Reliable Source. And, perhaps unsurprisingly, it happened in a rather public way.
Salahi's boyfriend, Journey guitarist Neal Schon, proposed to her onstage in Baltimore Sunday night -- at a fundraiser for Johns Hopkins Hospital's Kimmel Cancer Center.
She said yes, and the band followed the betrothal with "Faithfully."
As you may recall, it was just over a year ago that Tareq Salahi -- one half of the couple that allegedly crashed a White House party in 2009 and joined the cast of "Real Housewives of D.C." -- reported his wife was kidnapped.
Later, TMZ found she had actually left him for Schon.
Tareq Salahi then attempted to sue Schon for $50 million, but the case was thrown out of court (the judge suggested he work his issues out in divorce court).
The Salahis' divorce was finalized this year.
And in case you were worried about Tareq, he's staying busy running for governor of Virginia.
“It’s not a publicity stunt,” Salahi told Politico of his political ambitions. “I’m actually going back to my original roots, which most people don’t know about. My heart has always been in politics and Virginia government, and I’ve helped both sides -- Republicans and Democrats.”
