Michael Lohan Takes Cops to Check on Lindsay and Ali

Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael brought some cops along to help check up on her and 16-year-old sister Ali yesterday, but the police found that everything was OK inside the troubled actress' apartment.

"I went to the police department concerned about Ali's welfare," Michael Lohan told Hollyscoop.com. "I wanted to check on Ali. I want to make sure she's OK. She's 16 and she doesn't belong there! She's a minor."

The elder Lohan, who has had troubles of his own, said he became concerned because he heard the sisters drove home from the Coachella music festival together at 115 miles per hour. He also said he thinks Lindsay has been taking underage Ali out partying with her.

"Ali is being exposed to nightlife and the people Lindsay is surrounding herself with," he said.

Lindsay was not pleased with the surprise visit and took to Twitter to lash out at her father.

"I have no choice but to make this public, due to my sister's safety, as well as my own. My ex-dad just WALKED INTO MY APT like the devil's advocate with officers," she tweeted.

"Let's not forget, that my father KIDNAPPED me from a COURT ROOM when I was 4 years old and is CRAZY," she continued.

She went on to chastise her apartment building for letting him in, saying he had no warrant and no right to be there. Her string of tweets went on for several hours while she called him a pathological liar and a stalker, and defended her sister's well-being.

"Ali IS IN SCHOOL! It's called HOME SCHOOL! IT'S NOT EASY in public school when YOU are PUBLICLY humiliating your OWN CHILDREN AND MOTHER OF THEM!!!"

Ali was allowed to stay with her older sister.

"We were there. We found no evidence of abuse," a Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesperson told Us magazine.
