MTV to Show Music Videos Again — Online

Channel makes thousands of videos available to fans

Video may have killed the radio star, but it was MTV itself that made the music video virtually obsolete, reprogramming itself to feature endless reality TV shows in lieu of the video singles that established the channel as a beacon of pop culture.

Fans of music videos, however, can now take a stroll down memory lane or catch up on the latest hits at MTV's new site, which hosts an archive of 22,000 music videos and 5,000 pieces of other content--such as Van Halen announcing that a-ha won the 1986 Viewers Choice Award at that year's VMAs.
