Actress Halle Berry has reached a settlement in her custody battle over her three year-old daughter.
After an ugly public feud where accusations of racism were thrown around, Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry now claims all is settled between her and model Gabriel Aubry regarding their 3 year-old daughter, Nahla.
Berry seemed relieved that the situation was able to be resolved in her first public statements about the court battle.
"When there's a child involved, it's a relief when you can resolve things in a good way. Our issues were never about fighting for her," she said, in an interview with Extra.
"We both know a child needs both her parents," she continued. "But what I want to say about it is sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse. We need a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues."
Part of the issue involved where Nahla should reside - in Los Angeles with her father, or in New York where her mother is currently working. Although the matter was apparently resolved, no further details were given.
"I'm so happy we've arrived at that place -- because for her sake, this is the best way. We both love her more than life," said Berry.
