Emmy Rossum & Jewel Speak Out On Montag Plastic Surgeries

Heidi Montag appears on the cover of this week's People magazine after undergoing 10 plastic surgeries in a day, calling herself "addicted" – and some celebs had strong words about "The Hills" star's choices.

"It upsets me to see young women in the spotlight advocating plastic surgery. ANY surgery is extremely dangerous&should not be taken lightly," Emmy Rossum Tweeted on Wednesday. "Much less, used as a tool to increase notoriety or popularity.

"By putting this on magazine covers, we are somehow legitimizing the dangerous lengths to which some will go for fame and 'beauty,'" she continued. "There are so many REAL ISSUES in this world that NEED attention. Let's try to take a moment to be grateful we are ALIVE."

And Jewel also took to her Twitter to address the issue.

"There r obviously good reasons 4 plastic surgery-its also fine w me if its 4 vanity-but if u have a deep self hatred, surgery wont fix it," she Tweeted. "Never had plastic surgery-even w wonky teeth & the biggest nose in the biz i feel proud of who i am-but not ruling out when im older though!"

Neither star specifically named Heidi in their Tweets.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, on November 20, Heidi went under the knife for work including a mini brow lift, Botox in the forehead, nose job revision, fat injections in cheeks and lips, chin reduction, neck liposuction, ears pinned back, breast augmentation revision, liposuction on her waist and thighs and a buttocks augmentation – to the estimated tune of $30,000.
