Frisco Square Announces Big Gains

The annual Christmas in the Square event at Frisco Square in Frisco, TX drew more than 406,000 guests in 2008.

“In just our third year, we are very gratified to announce that Christmas in the Square 2008 attendance grew 36% from 2007. We estimate that attendance at Christmas in the Square has grown to where it is the largest annual event in Collin County and the third largest event (after the State Fair of Texas and the Ft. Worth Stock Show) in north Texas.”, said Jim Leslie, Managing Partner of Frisco Square. “The tremendous growth of Christmas in the Square is very gratifying for us, our sponsors and the City of Frisco. We’re already planning for 2009.” he added.

Christmas in the Square presents a dazzling, choreographed holiday lights and music show from Illumimax, LLC. Exciting, family-friendly events and amusements are also included. With the involvement and support of local business (notably EDS Credit Union and NBC5), local non-profits and the City of Frisco, Christmas in the Square runs for more than thirty nights. Visitors can drive through or stroll through to enjoy the shops, restaurants and displays. Most activities are free and aimed to please the kids and young families so prevalent in Frisco. Christmas in the Square 2008 also featured a 6,000 square foot gift shop for local vendors and, of course, Santa Claus.
