Light the Night Walk 2013

Help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fund lifesaving cancer research

NBC 5 and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society invite you to help provide lifesaving cancer research, find cures and save lives at the Light the Night Walk. Light the Night Walks will take place in Fort Worth on October 20th, in Frisco on October 26th and in Dallas on October 27th.

Grab your friends, family, and co-workers and form a team. Participants walk at twilight and hold illuminated balloons in three different colors -- white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold for those walking in memory of a loved one. There will be music, food, and activities for everyone at this fun-filled event.

There are no fitness requirements for this casual walk and no cost to register for this event; however, fundraising is encouraged. Funds raised through Light the Night support the Leukemia & Lymphoma’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma and improve the quality of the life of patients and their families.

Registration for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walks begin at 5:00 p.m. All walks are 2-3 miles and are family friendly. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.

All cancer survivors in attendance are our honored guests and will receive a t-shirt, illuminated balloon and wristband for refreshments at the Walk.

To register, visit www.lightthenight.org/ntx.
