NBC 5 proudly invites you to the First Fête of Fall, presented by the Barrett Martin Havran Memorial Committee and Neiman Marcus Fort Worth, on Thursday, September 12. The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at Neiman Marcus Fort Worth. All proceeds will benefit the Barrett Martin Havran Little Steps Big Futures Program of Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star.
For over 85 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) has served thousands of North Texas children through mentoring. In 2008, the agency’s educational initiatives began to help clients succeed academically. In 2011, after losing fellow Big Brother and Tarrant County Board Member, Barrett Martin Havran, this educational initiative was renamed The Barrett Martin Havran Little Steps Big Futures Program in his honor. In appreciation, Barrett’s family set out on a mission to raise awareness of the program and raise $1,000,000 in funds for the Barrett Martin Havran Little Steps Big Futures Program.
