Kimbell Fest: Scotland

Saturday, July 18

NBC 5 and the Kimbell Art Museum would like to invite you to Kimbell Fest: Scotland on Saturday, July 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth.

This free festival will kick off with a Scottish bagpipe and drum processional through the Museum’s allée of trees, which will be adorned with large-scale banners designed by Fort Worth ISD students. Daytime activities include face painting, art making, traditional dancers and musicians, historic demonstrations, family films, storytelling and a “selfie” photo booth. Evening activities include outdoor rock music performances, provided in partnership with KXT 91.7 FM, as well as traditional Scottish musical presentations.

Kimbell Fest: Scotland is inspired by the Kimbell Art Museum’s upcoming exhibition, Botticelli to Braque: Masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland. The Botticelli to Braque Exhibit is on view June 28 through September 20.
