NBC 5 and the US Olympians and Paralympians Association Southwest Chapter, along with the Rising Stars Youth Leadership Academy, invite youth ages 12-18 to participate in an afternoon of Olympic-filled events and workshops on June 23 at the Wilkerson Greines Athletic Center in Fort Worth from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
This family-friendly event has activities and learning experiences designed to encourage youth to get active and educate them on the values of the Olympic movement. Youth will also have the opportunity to engage in athletic events instructed by Olympians from the past and present. The day closes with an Olympic-style ceremony at the Potter's House of Fort Worth where Olympic Day certificates of participation will be presented at 6:00 p.m.
