Canal Fest 2017

Saturday, April 22

NBC 5 and the City of Irving invite you to enjoy a celebration of arts and culture at Canal Fest on Saturday, April 22, at the Las Colinas Urban Center in Irving. Experience the Mandalay Canal as never before with a variety of water rental options such as a stand-up paddle board, authentic gondola ride or the Lady Carolyn cruise boat. Local artisans will line the canal offering handmade jewelry, décor, artwork and other unique items.

There are multiple music stages. The main stage will celebrate the best of Texas with energetic performances by talented performers in multiple musical genres featuring Jenna McDaniel, Jonathan Fox Band, King David Band and Love & Happiness. The Family Arts Stage will introduce children to various aspects of the arts and will offer entertainment for the entire family. There’s a cultural stage where you can become immersed in an international experience as dance and performance groups represent cultures from around the world. There’ll be a great art exhibit and a musician’s corner with the unique country musician, Zach Coffey whose smooth sound comes from a background in opera. Joe Cross will be also there with his amazing combinations of acoustic, soul and blues.

You’ll enjoy the handmade craft marketplace and the wonderful ethnic food trucks and restaurants.
