Preston Lacy and LA Upright Citizen Brigade-based improv group, BANGARANG!, headline this year's Dallas Comedy Festival.

NBC 5 invites you to join the celebration of improv, sketch, and standup comedy at The 6th Annual Dallas Comedy Festival, March 24 – 28 at the Dallas Comedy House in historic Deep Ellum.

This year’s festival headliners are stand-up comedian Preston Lacy (Jackass) and LA Upright Citizen Brigade-based improv group BANGARANG! Cast members include Lauren Lapkus (Orange is the New Black, Jurassic World), Betsy Sodaro (TBS’ Buzzy’s), Jacob Reed (Comedy Central), David Theune (Mulaney, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Ryan Meharry (How I Met Your Mother), Toni Charline (Sketch Cram), Adam McCabe (Adult Swim, Funny or Die), and Ryan Stanger (Conan, Comedy Bang!Bang!).

Comedians from all over the nation submit to the festival each year. A selection committee narrows down their choices to a variety of hilarious acts. Tuesday will open with Dallas stand up favorites Aaron Aryanpur and Paul Varghese. Wednesday shows will feature headliner Preston Lacey, and both nights will include a variety of national and local acts, such as Dallas’ favorite 10-year-old comedian, Saffy Herndon.

Thursday’s lineup will be a mix of stand up, improv and sketch comedy from NYC, Dallas, Oklahoma City, San Diego, and Austin. Friday and Saturday nights will continue the fun with more acts from those cities, plus Chicago and Los Angeles and will close with Dallas improv staples Roadside Couch, Franzia and headliner BANGARANG!

The Dallas Comedy Festival continues to expand the show and workshop lineup each year. Previous acts include: Rory Scovel (Ground Floor), Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele), Maribeth Monroe (Workaholics), Marc Evan Jackson (Brooklyn Nine-Nine/Parks and Recreation), Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live), Craig Cackowski (Community), Frank Caeti (MadTV), Matt Craig (Saturday Night Live), and Brad Morris (The League, Cougartown).

A limited number of All Access Festival Passes are on sale now and single show tickets will go on sale starting March 1, 2015. All information can be found at www.dallascomedyfestival.com.
