Texas Tornado Benefit Concert with SaraBeth

NBC 5, the City of Garland and The Salvation Army invite you to help the victims of the recent tornadoes that ripped through North Texas. Come out to the Texas Tornado Relief Concert featuring SaraBeth, country singer and native of Garland, on Sunday, January 10, from 2:30 – 5 p.m. at the Granville Performing Arts Center. SaraBeth (Sarah Elizabeth Swagerty) will perform her country favorites, "You Rock My Rodeo," "You Keep Me Smilin'," "Do What You Say You're Gonna Do," "I'm Sick Of It" and  "Runnin' Outta Lipstick."

Everyone is welcome to this free benefit concert and 100 percent of the contributions raised will go to The Salvation Army to aid Garland tornado victims with their necessities. Dallas-based direct selling company Stream has committed to matching up to $10,000 in donations by its Independent Associates, for a total Stream contribution of up to $20,000. Stream Associates Vicky Gillispie and Geree Hayes are responsible for organizing the benefit concert.

Sunday’s lineup includes NBC 5 Anchor, Kris Gutierrez, who will Emcee; words of encouragement by international Faith-based and Corporate speaker, Thelma Wells; Marsaille, a 10-year old singing sensation on tour a 22-city tour with Women of Faith, will sign the National Anthem; Burnett "Captain Jack" Watson, a blues Vocalist who has opened for Little Milton, TJ Hooker, and Floyd Taylor; Michael Bridges, from Sunnyvale Church; and seasoned singer-songwriter Rachelle Fletcher will sing, “Hero”.

Garland Mayor Douglas Athas and City Council Woman Anita Goebel will also be attending to offer continued support. Other organizations contributing to the success of the benefit are NBC 5, Garland Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts, JL Promote, The Salvation Army, Living Hope Baptist Church and That A Girl Enrichment, Inc.
