I'm Not Upset About the “Idol” Upset

It may be the biggest upset in "American Idol" history. Kris Allen beat out Adam Lambert to claim the title.

Just under 100 million votes were cast -- a new record -- and 624 million over the entire season.

Allen says, "It feels good, but Adam deserves this. I'm sorry. I don't even know what to feel right now -- this is crazy!"

What the El!?! Editorial:

It doesn't matter who wins, they both get a record deal out of this.

The best news is we don't have to hear Adam sing that horrible "No Boundaries" song and his record will probably come out before Kris gets his out.

I loved when he rocked with KISS!

That wasn't the only surprise of the night.

Kara DioGuardi sang a duet with "Bikini Girl" Katrina Darrell on "Vision of Love." DioGuardi then ripped off her dress to show a bikini of her own, then immediately covered up and acted embarrassed.

I think little Katrina was ticked off… Kara had nothing to be embarrassed about!

The top 13 contestants were back to sing with Queen Latifah, Keith Urban, Jason Mraz, Cyndi Lauper, Lionel Richie, Kiss, Carlos Santana, Queen, Rod Stewart -- and Steve Martin.

The show was good, it was jam packed with entertainment, like an awards show, however, some people needed to pick up the pace. Cyndi Lauper sang "Time After Time" way too slow, and was it me, or was Rod Stewart totally tanked?!? I swear I was watching to see if he was going to fall down!

Some other favorites paid a visit as well: Norman Gentle and Tatiana Del Toro both did what they claim were unplanned performances.

The cutaway of Ruben Studdard was classic. I think he thought it was real. Obviously everything during that portion of the show was staged.
