Jessica Simpson may be letting the tabloids get the best of her.

Simpson had what's being called a meltdown on stage in Grand Rapids, Mich., last night.

Simpson was opening for Rascal Flatts, but her 38-minute set was reportedly full of issues, including a weak voice and her ear piece.

John Gonzalez reports on his blog Going Gonzo that her boyfriend Tony Romo missed his flight and that was the beginning of a rough night for Simpson.

During her ballad "With You" Simpson reportedly paused during the song to take a drink and let her backup singers take over vocals. When the song ended she told the audience of about 8,000 it was difficult to be on stage and so vulnerable.

Simpson then had her band start over on the up-tempo song "Pray Out Loud."

Toward the end of the set Simpson completely forgot the lyrics to her single "Come on Over" and mouthed "sorry" to the crowd on the two video screens.

Gonzalez reports it look as if she was wiping away tears as she left the stage.

In the end the fans were there to support her.

"I felt bad for her tonight," Shelly Cornin of Kalamazoo said. "Magazines are ripping her, being so harsh, and she's gorgeous."

    What the El!?! Editorial:

I saw the pictures from the Grand Rapids performance, she looked good.

I stand by what I said at the beginning, it all comes down to bad jeans, that it, if she wore something else it wouldn't have been so bad.

As for last night, I'm sure she had her heart set on seeing Tony and that didn't help matters.

I say lose weight if you want to Jessica, if you don't then stop listening to everyone else.

You don't have to be stick thin, but you do have to have a thick skin.
