Rangers pitcher Vicente Padilla left Friday's spring training game in Frisco with arm stiffness
Boy were people excited when the Rangers swept the Cleveland Indians in the opening series. Talk of "this is our year", "we have the best lineup in the A.L." started. Then came the trip to Detroit. The momentum these guys built was gone. First, the 15-2 beatdown. Then, a heartbreaking 4-3 loss Saturday. Capped by the bullpen collapse on Sunday giving up 6-runs in the 8th to complete the sweep. We knew pitching would be a problem, and we (the media dopes) were right.
It's still too early to figure out which Rangers team is the real one. But one things for certain, the pitching will kill this team again.
