After the first round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, it appears we're in store for another record breaking score, following Rory Sabbatini's -19 last week at The Byron Nelson. The the wind is holding off, the sky is crystal clear, and about the only thing we're missing for ideal conditions are some of the patrons running around in beach wear. Actually, based on some of the clientele, it's probably be better everyone's clothed.
Either way, it's perfect golf weather. And this field comprised of 89 of the world's top 100 golfers is taking advantage. Steve Stricker is dead on with his driver. Vijay Singh, minus his personality, is torching the course, and there's still room for a lesser name (Jason Day) to pounce.
Should be a fun weekend.
