Don't Panic. The Mavs Were Supposed To Lose

#7 - Dallas Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki knows what's up. $466 million worth. The Mav's owner Mark Cuban continues to be one of the NBA's most innovative owners. His latest coup was a joint venture with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys to hold the 2010 NBA All-Star Game at the Cowboys' new stadium set to open next year.

If you watched "Out of Bounds" Sunday, both myself and dual medial icon Newy Scruggs both accurately predicted the Mavs would lose game two to the Spurs. It's not that were really smart (eventhough Newy will tell you differently), it's just that the Mavs weren't supposed to win game one. And it's the Spurs. They've won four titles, have the loudest fans in the league, and know how to protect their wood. The Mavs couldn't afford to get beat up like they did, but anyone who's seen the Mavs and/or Spurs this season knew how to predict the outcome of game two. How come weather guys can't make it that easy? Here's what else Newy and I had to say about game two.
