Winter Meetings Kicking Off

There's not a better time of the MLB off-season than the annual GM Winter Meetings.

GMs from all of the clubs, players and agents all converge to talk free agency, seal deals and create buzz.

The meetings kickoff today in Dallas and will go through the end of the week.

We've already seen the newly named Miami Marlins make an expected splash by signing closer Heath Bell and shortstop/leadoff man extraordinare Jose Reyes.

Reports say this week at the meetings will produce a lot of trades but not so much on the free agency front.

The Rangers have expressed interest in trading for pitching, most notably Oakland A's closer Andrew Bailey, Chicago White Sox starter, and former Rangers farmhand John Danks and possibly Chicago Cubs starter Matt Garza.

It'll be a fun week to see what unfolds and sit by the fire watching MLB Network.
