Matt Treanor had his moments with the Texas Rangers in two separate stints with the club.
Last season he played a bigger role, serving as the backup catcher behind Bengie Molina, C.J. Wilson's personal catcher, and the author of a few big postseason hits including a blast in Yankee Stadium in the ALCS.
After Treanor went to the Kansas City Royals in the off-season, the 35-year-old catcher who might be more famous for who his wife his than his own playing ability, was sent back to Texas for the stretch run as the third catcher behind Mike Napoli and Yorvit Torrealba.
He played in just seven games with the Rangers, going 0-for-10 with an RBI, but he'll forever be remembered here as a key clubhouse component to the 2010 squad.
He's supposed to serve as the backup to a highly-touted rookie backstop next season and will be a nice piece for the Dodgers to mentor the team's younger players.
