Deschanel,one of a growing list of performers taking part in the pre-game ceremonies for the World Series between the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals, is an actress but also performs in the group She & Him with musician M. Ward.
In Game 2, country singer Trace Adkins will perform the National Anthem, while Ronnie Dunn sings before Game 3.
Games 3 and 4 are at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
