    Prince Fielder Texas Ranger

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

    Who's On?

Prince Fielder — Fielder was the offensive hero of the Rangers' opener with a duck snort blooper over the shortstops head for the Rangers' only hit of the game, but that was enough to beat the Mariners and Felix Hernandez. He also hit the Rangers' first homer of the year on Wednesday to give them a lead they eventually blew in the ninth.

Cole Hamels — Hamels allowed two solo homers in two innings on Opening Day, but after that he was tremendous — fanning eight over seven innings and not allowing anything else.

Rougned Odor — The Rangers' prime breakout candidate is just 1-for-10 to start the year, but he does have two walks and has scored all three times he's been on base. He also has a stolen base, which is an area he struggled with last year.

Shawn Tolleson — The Rangers' closer now has an ERA of 45.00 after allowing five runs and getting no outs on Wednesday in his first blown save. That came two days after a dominant ninth inning earned him a save on Opening Day.
