The Rangers got better at the catcher position and added another relief pitcher to the bullpen. Jonathan Lucroy and Jeremy Jeffress come over from Milwaukee in a trade.

The tough part is the catching rotation is no more and some good guys are now being shipped out. Guys who helped get the Rangers into first place in the AL West.

To make room on the 40-man roster for Lucroy and Jeffress, the team has designated catcher Bobby Wilson for assignment. The club also announced that catcher Bryan Holaday has been recalled from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Triple-A Round Rock, activated from the 15-day disabled list, and designated for assignment.

That stinks. Holaday is a former TCU Horned Frog.
